Bruins drop season opener
Fargo South couldn't shake the turnover bug in their season opener against Bismarck Century and dropped a 60-50 decision to the Patriots on Friday night in the Bruin gym. South and Centuty played an evenly matched first half, with both teams trading baskets and runs throughout. Katie Feltch sparked South with 11 first half points on some nice driving baskets, but the Bruins trailed 28-27 at halftime. The second half was also closely played, but turnovers at inoportune times let the Patriots stretch out to an 8 point lead late in the game, and the Bruins could never quite recover. Katie Feltch led South with 17 points, and Brittney Bolstad added 12. The loss drops South to 0-1 on the season. Next action for the Bruins is Saturday morning when they host Bismarck.
