Bruins get another road win

Fargo South took control of the game from the opening tip and ran away with an undermanned Grand Forks Central team to post an 85-30 win in Grand Forks on Tuesday night. Central struggled to keep pace with the Bruins as they were missing 3 regular players. South's lone freshman, Jasmine Moffett, got the Bruins off to a fast start as she scored 8 of the Bruins first 10 points of the game. South was pushing the ball up the floor hard and scored a number of easy transition baskets that staked the Bruins to the first 21 points of the game. 5 different players scored in that opening run, with Raquel Wellentin effective inside, while Brittney Bolstad hit a three pointer to open things up from outside. South continued to play well the entire first half, and the result was a convincing 45-6 halftime lead. In the second half, South played everyone on their roster and basically just continued to get good looks at the basket. South put 4 players in double figures, led by the 17 points of Jasmine Moffett, and also got 10 points from Erica Everson in her first action of the season. The Bruins move to 7-0 in the EDC and 8-2 overall. Next action for South is Friday night when the Bruins host Devils Lake.
