Bruins sweep Spartans
Fargo South opened up with a 13-1 run to seize control of the game early, and held that lead throughout the game, and posted a 64-45 win over the North Spartans to move to 14-3 on the season and 13-1 in the EDC. South played steady all night, making the plays when they needed to. All 8 regular jv players scored for South, making it another total team effort by the Bruins. Brittney Bolstad got things going for South with 8 first half points, while Amanda Schultz hit for 7, including a three pointer. South used a 9-2 run to go into halftime with a 31-17 lead. In the second half, a 12-1 run midway throught the half gave South their biggest lead of the game at 54-30, and the game was not in doubt after that. The only negative for the Bruins was the injury scene. Katie Felch and Erica Everson both suffered injuries and may be questionable for further action. Amanda Schultz led 3 Bruins in double figures with 12 points, and also snared 7 steals and dished out 8 assists. Next action for South is Tuesday when they host Grand Forks Central with a chance to lock up the EDC title.
