Bruins flat in loss to Shanley

Fargo South came out flat against the 3rd ranked team in the state and the results were not pretty. Shanley rolled to a 43-13 halftime lead and never looked back in an 84-30 win over the Bruins on Tuesday night in the Bruins home gym. The Bruins had 8 turnovers in the opening 4 minutes and gave up too many offensive rebounds early on. A putback basket by Naiya Karl finally broke the ice for South, but by that time the Bruins were already down double digits. No Bruin hit double figure scoring as they were led by 7th grader Adie Wagner's 7 points. For the Deacons, they knocked down 11 three pointers against the Bruins zone and man defenses, all of which were generally uncontested. South shot 6% from the 3 point line and 30% from the freethrow line on Tuesday. The Bruins will need to find their fire by Friday night, as they travel to Red River to take on the top ranked team in the state.
